Christmas is an emotional time, and like the polar bears, we look forward to this season of homecoming. As winter embraces Hudson Bay and the bears return to the sea ice, we gather with friends and family for shared stories, quiet moments, and warm, heartfelt conversations.

Guests were back in record numbers in 2025, helping us to another sold-out season and creating countless treasured memories and newfound friends.

Our Arctic home blessed us with some extraordinary encounters this year. Old friend Scarbrow made another unforgettable appearance at Seal River Heritage Lodge, and also showed up at Dymond Lake Ecolodge for the seventeenth time in the past 20 years. Across our three lodges, he was joined by a cast of wild residents from majestic polar bears to mystical wolves, from black bears to Arctic hares, moose to foxes, ground squirrels (our beloved sik-siks!) to birds, and yes, even the relatives of the notorious wolverine who gave Scarbrow his distinctive mark.

There’s something magical about these wild creatures that touches everyone who meets them. Look into their eyes and you’ll see what we mean. Happy or curious, loving or thoughtful, they share their feelings openly, reminding us that we’re all connected. Our Christmas photo album, updated with more photos from the 2025 season,  captures these precious moments, each image a window into the joy and wonder we’ve shared together.

To our wonderful guests, dedicated staff, talented photo leaders, trusted partners, media members, filmmakers, and cherished family and friends, thank you. Your photos, your stories, and your continued trust in us make everything possible. You’re not just visitors to Churchill Wild; you’re part of our extended family.

February and March will bring a new season, and soon afterwards, the tundra will awaken in all its glory to welcome the polar bears of summer. Until then, we hope these snowy scenes will warm your hearts and inspire dreams of returning to this wild place, where every horizon promises a new adventure and every visit feels like coming home.

From our entire Churchill Wild family and all of our wild creatures, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with warmth, happiness, and wild wonders!
