Arctic Wild meets Churchill Wild.

Is it fate, luck, or perhaps part of Nature’s Grand Plan that brings extraordinary people like Christoph and Fabienne Jansen into our lives? We’re forever grateful for these newfound friends, who continue to show such great enthusiasm for the experience that is Churchill Wild, even though they’re on their 30th departure with us this fall.

It’s an inspiration to witness their sense of wonder, and their continued enjoyment of our Hudson Bay wildlife and landscapes, capped by endless photos all equally valued as if they were from their first encounter! Fabienne and Christoph have lifetimes of incredible images from our ecolodges—the best of which you can see on their ArcticWild.net website—yet they never seem to tire of spending day after day on the Hudson Bay coast with us.

As seen in a few of their photos below, conditions have been less than stellar this year, making for some interesting travel challenges. Polar bear numbers, however, have been exceptionally good, and of course the elusive wolf pack—not one but two—appeared as if on cue upon Fabienne and Christoph’s arrival! They must have called ahead and talked to the pack leaders, as there’s an uncanny connection between human and wolf here.

Luckily for Team Arctic Wild, they’re with us for the entire fall season, so we’ll no doubt experience some proper snow and ice before they leave, returning home only to plan and repack for their return in February and March for the Nanuk Emergence Quest and the Cloud Wolves of the Kaska Coast safaris! Can’t get enough of the Arctic, eh?

Maybe we should build a cabin for you 😊
