Churchill Wild founded the world’s first and only polar bear walking safaris in 1993, but we’ve been walking with polar bears for over 50 years, and our family history on Canada’s Hudson Bay coast goes back almost 100 years.
Churchill Wild’s ground-level polar bear tours and safaris are based out of the only permanent Arctic luxury ecolodges on the Hudson Bay coast: Seal River Heritage Lodge, Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge and Dymond Lake Ecolodge.
Seal River Heritage Lodge and Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge were members of the National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World collection when it was in operation and the ecolodges have received hundreds of 5-Star reviews on Tripadvisor.

Polar bear tours and safaris run from July through November, with additional specialized safaris in February and March for serious adventure travellers.
Numerous elite photographers and filmmakers have done some of their best work at our ecolodges, and a large amount of footage you may have seen on polar bear films and documentaries over the past decade has been filmed at the Churchill Wild ecolodges.
Private groups (maximum 16 people) have also booked the ecolodges on numerous occasions and returned more than once!
Only 6,000 people on the planet have walked with polar bears.
